Software Quality Engineer (Permanent)

Software Test Engineer Oxfordshire Laboris Solutions are pleased to be working with a rapidly growing, privately-owned company originally formed around technology from Oxford University. Headquartered in the UK with overseas subsidiaries, the company has established a reputation for rapid delivery of wireless location systems and camera based sensors. The company seeks a new Test Engineer to support product development activities. This is a permanent position on-site in Oxfordshire. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail and excellent written communication skills are necessary for this role. Liaise with engineering and support teams to troubleshoot product issues reported from the field Testing of software release candidates Contribute to the quality management system for processes and documentation Occasional travel to third-party manufacturing and test sites Educated to at least HNC level in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline At least two years of experience in a similar software or hardware testing position System-level testing methodologies Basic IT system administration via a CLI (Windows and Linux) Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) with scripting or PLCs) Basic electrical fault finding with common test equipment Test data analysis Software development (e.g., C#, Python)
