Our client is a software company that produces the world´s fastest analytics database with approx. 200 employees and headquarter in Nuremberg. Built for speed and flexibility, it can analyze billions of rows in seconds and run high-performance analytics securely - whether in the cloud or on-premises. For their team remotely we are currently looking for a Linux System Engineer/L2 Support (m/f/d) Your responsibilities:
- Deliver consulting engagements for the customers, either remote or on-site for the Level 2 (L2) support team
- Perform Level 2 Support and assisting Level 1 Support where needed by creating Knowledge-base articles
- Ensure timely and quality project delivery with the clients
- Provide professional advice to the clients via ticketing system
- Collaborate with R&D and Product Management
- Fill knowledge gaps and participate in training sessions
- Execute quality management tasks accurately and promptly and monitor project progress
- Create statements of work for clients and projects
Requirements

University degree in IT or equivalent

Technical work experience
-
Customer-centric approach with advanced analytical troubleshooting skills

Experience in multicultural environments and stakeholder liaison across different hierarchies

Proficiency in: o ISO/OSI model and TCP/IP protocols o Storage and Server Systems (e.g., HP Blade, FSC, NetApp, LUN) o Linux administration and shell scripting o Database and SQL knowledge, SQL scripting

Willingness to travel

Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills as a plus
