Job description
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues at our Ludwigsau warehouse. You will support local users while also being part of a global IT team, working closely with colleagues across multiple regions. This role combines hands-on technical support with infrastructure, network and security responsibilities, ensuring reliable and secure IT operations in line with company standards., * Provide first-line technical support for end users, both on-site and remotely
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, system and server issues
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal or external support teams
- Prepare, install and configure computer equipment and peripherals
- Support and troubleshoot industrial label printers, printing devices and rugged mobile computers
- Maintain and develop IT infrastructure documentation and operating procedures
- Support and maintain Windows Server environments, Hyper-V virtualization, DNS and DHCP
- Administer Active Directory, GPOs and Office 365
- Support ACSs, T&A systems, CCTV, BMS and EES
- Maintain IT asset inventory for hardware and software
- Ensure IT security standards are upheld in line with local legislation and company policies
- Deliver IT onboarding and training for new employees
- Participate in on-duty support as required
- Undertake additional IT-related tasks as needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Very good knowledge of industrial label printers
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Good knowledge of Honeywell/Zebra rugged mobile computers
- Solid understanding of IT networks
- Good working knowledge of Hyper-V, Windows Server, DNS and DHCP
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Good knowledge of Office 365 administration
- Confident communicator able to support users at all levels
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts
- Self-motivated, organised and delivery-focused
- Fluent in English with good German communication skills
- Willingness to work on duty depending on business needs
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar IT infrastructure or support role
- Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Exposure to IoT environments
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
