Job description
We are seeking a hands-on IT & Infrastructure leader to oversee infrastructure, cloud operations, security, and systems administration across multiple companies in Aviation group. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance across hybrid environments while driving modernization, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
This is a highly technical leadership position suited for someone who with deep technical knowledge of modern cloud and on-prem environments with strong management and communication skills - someone passionate about supporting the foundation of the next generation of aviation software technologies.
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure across on-premises, Azure and AWS cloud environments.
- Define and execute on infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals including standards for cloud, on-prem, security, backup, resilience and vendor selection, multi-year infrastructure roadmap.
- Lead cloud cost optimization, automation projects, and resource efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure and services.
- Manage and optimize cloud and on-prem environments, including VMs, networking, storage, and policies.
- Administer and monitor Linux and Windows servers, databases, and CI/CD systems.
- Oversee security controls, IAM, MFA, RBAC, and compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
- Provide user support for workstation setups, software provisioning, and IT tooling.
- Implement DevOps and SRE practices to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
- Manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana).
- Own IT operations policies, processes, and ITIL-aligned service management practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with strong AWS/Azure expertise
- Track record of improving reliability and reducing operational risk in legacy environments through pragmatic measures (backups, monitoring, access control, automation).
- Strong L2/L3 networking knowledge including firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, and routing (BGP/OSPF).
- Solid database administration experience: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.
- Proven troubleshooting and incident management skills focused on uptime and reliability.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, data protection, backup, and patching processes.
- Working knowledge of ITIL operations and compliance with ISO, SOC 2, and GDPR frameworks.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives in SaaS or software environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Fluency in English
