If you're an experienced engineer passionate about real-time graphics, Unreal Engine, and pushing the boundaries of AR and VR in live sports environments, this role offers the chance to make a real impact on sports broadcasting and officiating at the highest level.
As a Senior C++ Unreal Software Engineer, you'll play a key technical role in building and evolving our Unreal-powered graphics pipeline. You'll work across the full development lifecycle, from investigating complex issues to designing and delivering core systems used in live broadcast environments.
Your work will include:

Designing, architecting, and implementing high-quality Unreal Engine solutions

Solving complex real-time graphics problems in live sports contexts

Improving performance, scalability, and reliability across graphics systems

Working closely with engineers, artists, and stakeholders to deliver robust, production-ready solutions

Lead technical discussions and contribute to design decisions

Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and creative disciplines

Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, and design reviews

Develop and optimise AR/VR and backend graphics systems

Integrate Unreal Engine with in-house tools and art pipelines

Maintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and debugging

Take ownership of technical solutions and long-term maintainability

Requirements
- Strong experience using Unreal Engine (ideally Unreal Engine 5), with C++ and Blueprints
- Advanced C++ expertise (C++11 / 14 / 17), focused on clean, maintainable, high-performance code
- Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan
- Shader development experience using HLSL and/or GLSL
- Solid 3D mathematics knowledge relevant to graphics programming
- Hands-on experience working with AR and/or VR pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
- Strong familiarity with Git or equivalent version control systems
- Experience mentoring others and leading by example
Experience with other game engines is a bonus.
