Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and evolving the internal infrastructure that underpins our secure, sovereign cloud environment. You will work as part of a collaborative engineering team, ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our internal systems while participating in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support to the internal systems., * Maintain, monitor, and optimise internal IT infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, and cloud-adjacent systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes in line with security and compliance requirements.
- Ensure high availability and resilience of internal systems through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
- Creation of automation to ensure repeatable tasks are optimised.
Requirements
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in high-trust, high-security environments and enjoys working across a broad range of infrastructure technologies across Windows, Linux & Firewall platforms. Any experience of the UK Public Sector would be an advantage. Must be able to pass an SC Security Check (UK Based, Passport holder 5+ yrs minimum) and potentially be willing to pass a DV security check in the future, * Windows (must have)
