Software Test Engineer

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for the build and test of software to support the company's products and services., * Responsible for building and testing software to support the company's products and services.

• Responsible for producing and maintaining software build and software test specifications.
• Technical liaison with customers, collaborators on software related matters.
• Helping to improve the testability of software.
• Undertakes additional project tasks as required by management.
• Any other tasks associated with this role.

• Technical background.
• Good communication skills.
• Good PC skills together with MS Office.
• Good understanding of Software Engineering Lifecycle, in particular test and integration.
• Knowledge of scripting/programming languages to help automate builds and testing.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to visit and sail with ships in the UK and abroad.

Experience Required:

• 1 year's practical experience with testing software for PCs running Windows.
• Experience with writing test plans, specifications, and reports.
• Experience with building software & software installers desirable.
• Experience in a similar position within a Technical/Engineering organisation preferred., * Good Engineering Degree with Software Content or equivalent (lower qualification considered if backed up by relevant experience).

Full-time Permanent Position.

Competitive Basic Salary.

Monday to Friday, 37-Hours per week.

100% office based during probation period.
