Job description
We are looking for a creative, hard-working and ambitious Digital Content and Social Media Executive to join our growing team at Ast in Penrith.
This role will be responsible for creating high-quality website content tailored to our target audiences and business objectives, managing Ast's social media channels, improving SEO performance, and developing Ast's presence within AI-driven search and discovery platforms. A key focus of the role will be understanding and maximising the opportunities presented by AI search and AI as an emerging marketplace for visibility, authority and lead generation.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and a strong understanding of how to identify, target and engage relevant audiences using the right platforms, formats and messaging. They will also have a genuine interest in and understanding of how AI is changing the way people discover brands, services and information online.
This is a varied role with unlimited potential for career progression for the right candidate. We're looking for someone proactive, curious and confident working independently, while supporting our Comms Director and ensuring all activity aligns with Ast's wider communications and business strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- Writing clear, engaging and well-structured content for the Ast website, tailored to audience needs and business goals
- Managing and maintaining Ast's social media channels, including planning, creating, scheduling and monitoring content performance
- Identifying Ast's key audiences and selecting the most effective platforms and content formats to reach them
- Creating targeted content tailored to different audiences and channels
- Optimising website content for SEO, including keyword strategy, structure and on-page best practice
- Developing and implementing approaches to maximise visibility within AI-driven search, discovery tools and AI-powered marketplaces
- Staying ahead of developments in AI search and understanding how content is surfaced, referenced and recommended by AI platforms
- Monitoring website, search and social media performance and making data-led improvements
- Ensuring a consistent brand voice and tone across all digital channels
- Keeping website content constantly up to date and proactively identifying opportunities for new and improved content
- Supporting wider marketing, communications and brand awareness activity as required
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, * Excellent written English and strong content-writing skills
- Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or business
- Strong understanding of how to identify and target relevant audiences through content and social platforms
- Good understanding of SEO, analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and search performance
- Demonstrable interest in AI search, AI-driven discovery and the evolving digital landscape
- Confidence using content management systems and social media scheduling tools
- Highly organised, with strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Creative, proactive and able to work on own initiative without needing management or direction
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
- A strong desire to stay ahead of developments in SEO, AI and digital marketing, and to actively apply new thinking to day-to-day work
This is a full-time, office-based role.
