Recycling / IT Refurbishment Operative

We are currently looking for a Recycling / IT Refurbishment Operative to join our expanding team. The role includes supporting the day-to-day operations of the recycling facility, refurbishing IT equipment safely and securely, logging customer equipment and destroying data bearing devices.

The daily duties of this position include:

• Loading and unloading equipment from 3.5 tonne box vans
• Identifying equipment that has potential for a second life
• Dismantling old IT equipment to recover parts/materials
• Logging equipment, scanning serial numbers and asseting customer loads
• Processing IT equipment to both customer requirements and company standards
• Destroying hard drives and data tapes using a mobile crushing unit and shredder
• Testing, cleaning and refurbishing IT equipment
• Preparing and palleting equipment ready for resale

Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * Understand the importance of customer service

• Have the ability to work within a team and unsupervised
• Have good communication skills
• Maintain a high attention to detail
• Have a strong work ethic and general understanding of health & safety within the workplace
• Have an interest in IT equipment, full training will be given in all aspects of the role

You must be physically able to load various equipment including computers, servers, printers etc.

Annual salary of £26,200 per annum, subject to successful completion of 3-month probationary period and continuous improvement.
