Solution Architect

We are recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect to support the design and assurance of technical solutions within a central government, GDS-aligned environment. This role is suited to someone with strong technical understanding who is comfortable operating in a hands-off capacity, focusing on architecture design, governance, standards, and documentation rather than day-to-day delivery.

The role:

• Design and shape technical solutions aligned to business and user needs
• Provide architectural oversight and assurance across projects
• Ensure solutions comply with governance, security, and architectural standards
• Produce and maintain high-quality architectural documentation
• Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Operate in line with GDS principles and central government best practice

• Strong understanding of technical architecture and cloud-based systems
• Proven experience working with AWS
• Experience in central government and/or GDS environments
• Comfortable working in a more hands-off, strategic and solution driven role
• Strong governance mindset with excellent documentation skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders
• You must be eligible and happy to go through Security Check (SC) clearance
