Junior Software Developer

In this role, you will support the development of backend software using Java, working with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate. You'll gain hands-on experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and use Git for version control as part of a collaborative development team. This is an office-based role where you'll work closely with peers, learn best practices, and gradually take ownership of features and tasks as your skills develop. The Role:

• Supporting the development and maintenance of backend software using Java
• Assisting with feature development using Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Using Git for version control and participating in code reviews
• Collaborating with the team to resolve bugs and manage development tasks

• Some experience with Java from a commercial, academic, or placement environment
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Exposure to Spring Boot, relational databases, or Git
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop technical skills

£32,000 - £38,000 + 26 Days Holiday plus Bank Hols + Pension + Life Insurance + Free Parking
