Job description

The Senior Technical Project Manager - Infrastructure plans, executes, and oversees complex technology projects (like data centers, networks, systems) from start to finish, bridging the gap between technical teams and business goals by managing scope, budget, timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring delivery within quality and time constraints. Key responsibilities include leading technical staff, coordinating stakeholders, managing vendor relations, tracking progress, reporting status, and mitigating issues for infrastructure-focused initiatives. Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and detailed work plans.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Allocate resources, manage budgets, and track costs (ETC/EAC).
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact, holding meetings and providing regular status updates to management and clients.
  • Team Leadership: Guide technical teams, delegate tasks, and ensure project standards are met.
  • Deliverable Quality: Review team deliverables for completeness and quality.
  • Methodology Adherence: Apply established project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Requirements

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, cloud).
  • Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in PM tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to overcome obstacles.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
