Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join our in-house design team, supporting new product development and engineering improvements across existing product ranges.

The Role
Working as part of a collaborative and experienced design team, you will be involved in taking products from concept through to manufacture. The role is split approximately 75% new product development and 25% existing product modifications, offering exposure to innovation alongside practical engineering problem-solving.
The majority of products are manufactured using plastic injection moulding, with some metal components. Designs are primarily used within plumbing and utilities, so any exposure to water flow, pressure systems, or fluid-related applications would be beneficial.
You will also support both short- and longer-term engineering projects, working closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams., * Contribute to the design and development of new products
- Support modifications and improvements to existing product ranges
- Produce 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to support production readiness
- Assist with engineering analysis such as CFD and FEA where required
- Support projects to ensure timelines and objectives are achieved
- Keep up to date with new technologies and product innovations
Requirements
Do you have experience in Water systems?, * Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline)
- Around 1-3 years' experience in a design engineering role (or strong graduate with relevant industrial placement experience)
- Solid 3D CAD skills with the ability to support projects from concept through to production
- A logical problem solver with a hands-on, practical mindset
- Experience or exposure to plastic injection moulding is advantageous
- Any knowledge of water systems, fluid dynamics, CFD, FEA, or IoT is a plus
- Keen to develop technically and progress within a structured engineering team
