Job description

Join our global client's specialist Information Security function, playing a role in maintaining the integrity, availability, and governance of core security services across critical infrastructure environments. With a focus on Cryptography & Key Management, you will work directly with enterprise-grade Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and lead key-management processes supporting secure operations across multiple platforms.

This is an opportunity to make meaningful impact while expanding your knowledge within a highly secure, process-driven team, choosing to follow an Infrastructure and/or development career path where accuracy, compliance, and technical depth are essential.

The tasks of an Analyst will include:

  • Configure, administer, and maintain HSM devices, including secure onsite activities and lifecycle management.

  • Generate, distribute, store, recover, rotate, and retire cryptographic keys.

  • Maintain detailed documentation, device catalogues, and cryptographic records.

  • Support the scheduling, coordination, and delivery of key-management services across globally distributed platforms.

  • Contribute to the development of Infrastructure automation routines.

  • Contribute to incident, problem, and change management activities.

  • Produce operational reports, risk statements, and compliance evidence as part of ongoing governance requirements.

  • Develop, and implement procedures, processes, and control improvements.

  • Own and deliver cryptographic components of projects, ensuring technical requirements are met and securely integrated.

Requirements

  • InfoSec experience with understanding of cryptography and key-management.

  • Hands-on experience with HSM configuration, installation and support.

  • Understanding of certificate management, authentication technologies, and controlled cryptographic processes.

  • Familiarity with ITIL.

  • Understanding of Unix / Windows environments used within secure infrastructure.

  • Understanding of scripting with Python, Go-Lang or similar

  • Strong documentation skills for procedures, runbooks, and audit deliverables.

  • Knowledge of risk, governance, compliance, and data-protection principles; relevant certifications are advantageous.

**The hands-on Cryptography experience, particularly of Hardware Security Module (HSM) and associated Key Management is significant, however candidates with some recent exposure and a broader background in ITIL, Incident Response, Change Management AND a genuine demonstrable desire to progress a career in Cryptography, will be considered. Please highlight your rational in your application.

Benefits & conditions

  • Starting salary, circa £40-45k Basic + Bonus (£4-5k) + On-call (£3-£6k)

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.

  • Either focus Crypto Infrastructure or Crypto Development

  • Access to continuous learning and certification programmes.
