Cyber Security Consultant

Our client, a London Market Insurer is recruiting a Cyber Security Consultant to join a dynamic team. You'll play a key role in providing assessment, security controls, security design assessment and liaising with technical teams to ensure compliance throughout the project life cycle., * Leading security assurance, assessments, and advisory across both cloud-based and on-premises IT and business projects, in alignment with NIST 800-53 standards.

• Collaborating with security architecture and cross-functional teams to define and implement effective security controls and design patterns.
• Defining non-functional security requirements and ensuring their integration into solution architectures.
• Performing in-depth security risk assessments and providing actionable mitigation strategies.
• Advising and influencing stakeholders to remediate non-compliant processes and improve security posture.
• Supporting the delivery and rollout of key global and regional security initiatives.
• Managing business-as-usual (BAU) activities, including incident handling, service requests, and change management.

• Experienced security analyst/engineer/consultant
• Good understanding of network security
• Experience in providing advice in security and design approach
• Essential Azure experience (AWS or GCP is nice to have)
• Insurance is highly desirable (not essential)

This is a permanent role and will be based in the office 2 days per week in Central London. The role is paying between £65,000 - £77,000 plus bonus & benefits.
