Senior Data Engineer

• Optimize databases for performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Create and enhance Power BI dashboards for insightful reporting., * Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and databases using Azure Data Services for both structured and unstructured data
• Optimise and monitor database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage
• Develop, optimise, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic
• Develop efficient workflows, automate data processes, and provide analytical support through data extraction, transformation, and interpretation
• Create and optimise Power BI dashboards and models, including DAX tuning and data modelling; explore additional reporting tools as needed
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure accuracy through quality checks, validation, and consistency measures
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance policies
• Investigate and support the business in providing solutions for data issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to code reviews, and uphold coding standards
• Continuously evaluate tools, document data flows and system architecture, and improve engineering practices
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support in hiring, onboarding, and training

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; Master's is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL development and Azure Data solutions.
• Experience in data visualization and analysis tools like Power BI., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master Degree is a plus)
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database; certifications are a plus
• Strong proficiency in SQL development and optimization, good knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Extensive experience in developing complex dashboards and reports including DAX
• Knowledge of at least one data analysis language (Python, R, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud is advantageous
• Ability to design and implement data models to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of structured and unstructured data
