Job description

On behalf of a client with offices in Gelderland, we are looking for a SAP PPM Consultant for a 6-month assignment.

Position offered on a Hybrid basis (40% onsite Mondays & Wednesdays)

These are your responsibilities:

SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM)

  • Project and Portfolio Management: Expertise in setting up and managing projects and portfolios, including prioritization and resource management.
  • Portfolio Structure: Skills in creating and maintaining portfolio hierarchies and defining portfolio elements.
  • Financial Planning: Experience with financial planning within PPM, and financial integration with SAP PS.
  • Resource Planning: Experience with resource allocation and capacity planning within PPM, and resource integration with SAP PS.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Knowledge of reporting capabilities within PPM for tracking and analysing portfolio performance.
  • Workflow Configuration: Configuration of workflows and approval processes within PPM.

SAP Project Systems (PS):

  • Project Structures: Experience in setting up Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) within SAP PS.
  • Financial Management: Good knowledge of cost and revenue planning, including budgeting and forecasting in SAP PS.
  • Integration: Knowledge of integration points between SAP PS and other SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, and SD.
  • Periodic Closing: Experience with periodic closing activities such as results analysis, settlements, etc.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Proficiency in using SAP reporting tools and techniques for project control and analysis.

You'll be joining forces with: Your colleagues on the SAP PPM team. Together, you'll work to ensure the smoothest possible transition to SAP S4HANA in this area. You'll also collaborate with colleagues from the SAP PS and SAC teams.

Here's how you'll approach it:

  • You have an analytical mindset and can solve problems effectively. You're proactive and customer-focused.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with SAP PPM (Portfolio & Project Management) & PS (Project Systems) applications
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with portfolio management, project management, and planning & budgeting processes
  • Knowledge of SAP FI & CO is a plus
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively solve complex problems.
  • Communicative: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent and Team-Oriented: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proactive and Customer-oriented: Proactive attitude and customer-oriented approach in delivering solutions.
