Job description
You will be responsible for building complete WordPress websites end-to-end, often without a separate designer. You will begin with getting support from the managing director, but after that, you will be expected to handle your tasks on your own. You need a strong design eye, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently.
You will not be client-facing day-to-day. You will work closely with the Managing Director and the account management team to deliver sites efficiently and to a high standard.
Core Responsibilities
- Build full WordPress websites for commercial businesses
- Strong experience using Avada (essential)
- Build high-quality homepages and inner pages without relying on a designer
- Support landing page builds for PPC campaigns
Set up and manage:
- Forms and conversions
- Contact flows
- Email notifications
Handle:
- DNS
- Nameservers
- TXT records
- Email configuration
Work with servers (Plesk experience highly desirable)
- Set up SSL certificates and troubleshoot HTTPS issues
- Carry out pre-launch checks using internal SOPs
- Manage website speed, performance, and security
Handle website issues including:
- Hacked sites
- Malware
- WordPress security (Wordfence experience ideal), * Not a junior position
- Not a designer-only role
- Not a pure coding role
- Not a fully or hybrid remote freelance-style role

Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, You must have:
- Strong WordPress experience (agency background preferred)
- Very strong Avada experience
- Excellent technical IT knowledge
- Confidence working with servers, DNS, SSL, and hosting
- Ability to design good-looking, conversion-focused layouts
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow SOPs and structured processes
- Experience building websites quickly without sacrificing quality
- Understanding of: Conversion rates, Lead generation, Small business websites, Commercial design principles
Other skills to possess:
- Basic PHP / MySQL understanding
- Shopify experience
- Email marketing integrations
- Zapier automations
- Experience working with Plesk, * WordPress: 5 years (preferred)
