Lead Data Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Lead Data Solutions Architect to lead the successful deployment of our data product at client sites. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, solution architecture, and client delivery. You will take complex data platforms from design through to real-world implementation, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and usable in enterprise environments.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for someone with deep expertise in data and modern architecture, who enjoys working closely with engineers, product teams, and clients to turn complex requirements into working systems. You will be accountable not just for how solutions are designed, but for how they are deployed, integrated, and adopted by customers.

You will work directly with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure our platform can be successfully implemented across a range of environments, from large enterprises to smaller, fast-moving organisations., * Own the technical design and delivery of our data platform for client implementations.

• Partner with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to understand business needs, data requirements, and operational constraints.
• Design pragmatic, scalable data and system architectures aligned with our core product and enterprise architecture principles.
• Lead technical discovery and solution design for client deployments, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption patterns.
• Evaluate existing client platforms and recommend when to integrate, extend, refactor, or replace components.
• Produce clear architecture diagrams, technical designs, and delivery documentation that teams and clients can execute against.
• Break down complex delivery initiatives into clear, achievable implementation and migration plans.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to delivery teams during build, test, and deployment phases.
• Oversee integrations across cloud platforms, data tools, internal services, and third-party systems.
• Identify technical risks early in the delivery lifecycle and define practical mitigation strategies.
• Support deployment and release activities in client environments, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Monitor solution performance, stability, and usability post-deployment.
• Capture delivery learnings and feed improvements back into product, architecture, and delivery practices.

Day to Day

You will typically:

• Design and review end-to-end solution architectures for client data projects.
• Run technical design sessions and deep dives with engineers, product managers, and client teams.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and lightweight technical documentation for project delivery.
• Advise internal and client stakeholders on technical options, trade-offs, and delivery risks.
• Support and unblock teams during client deployments.
• Review outcomes after release and incorporate lessons learned into future designs., * Production-ready implementation solutions that are successfully deployed in client environments.
• Implementation and migration plans that simplify complex data and platform changes.
• Integration designs covering data pipelines, APIs, cloud services, and third-party tools.

Do you have experience in Spark?, * Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering data platforms or complex software systems.

• Deep knowledge of data architecture, data engineering, and modern cloud platforms.
• Experience with technologies such as Python, Mobile Development, Databricks, Spark, cloud data services, or similar.
• Proven experience deploying complex software or data products in client or enterprise environments.
• Comfortable balancing delivery speed, quality, scalability, and technical debt.
• Ability to lead and influence product and delivery teams without formal authority.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to architecture reviews, technical governance, or delivery standards.
