Data Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Data Manager to join our school's administrative team. This role is ideal for someone with previous management experience who is comfortable working within a developing office structure and supporting the school through a period of planned change.

Initially, the postholder will sit within the admin team, playing a key role in maintaining accurate data systems, supporting compliance, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the school. As the office structure evolves over the coming months, the responsibilities and scope of the role may develop accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Reporting

Maintain, update, and oversee the school's data management systems (e.g. pupil, attendance, assessment, and staff data).

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all school data in line with GDPR requirements.

Produce regular reports for senior leaders, governors, and external agencies., Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders to support data-informed decision-making.

Proven experience in data management, ideally within an educational setting.

Previous management or supervisory experience.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

High level of competence with data systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to change.

Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements.

Desirable

Experience working in a school or similar educational environment.

Knowledge of school MIS systems.
