The Role
As a Software Engineer, you'll join a small, highly capable engineering team shaping the future of a mission-critical platform.
You'll design and build new capabilities that improve how financial institutions operate, working end-to-end across the development lifecycle. Engineers here are full-stack generalists who value clean design, quality engineering and a strong DevOps culture.
You'll collaborate closely with colleagues in an agile environment, gaining exposure to all parts of the system and having real influence over technical decisions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain server-side Java applications
- Contribute from requirements through to production deployment
- Build reliable, scalable solutions in collaboration with your team
- Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration
- Support operational excellence through DevOps practices
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in server-side Java development
- Strength in at least three areas such as web technologies, messaging, data modelling, security, concurrency or performance tuning
- A strong focus on testing, reliability and quality
- Experience working in small, productive Agile/Scrum teams
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g. Postgres)
- Clear communication skills and a desire to keep learning
Nice to Have
- Experience in a scale-up or fast-growth environment
- Exposure to cloud platforms, Kubernetes or DevOps tooling
- A Computer Science degree or related background
