Job description
This entry level position will support, monitor, and troubleshoot the Cisco networking infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for Construction and Operation Readiness. * Daily operations: - Monitor Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers and access points using network monitoring tools and respond promptly to alerts. - Field services including installation and decommissioning work. * Configuration & change management: assist senior engineers in applying configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patches on Cisco IOS/XE devices, following documented change control procedures. * Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve Layer 2/3 wired and wireless connectivity issues, VLAN mismatches, Wi-Fi coverage and routing problems (OSPF, …). * Security enforcement: verify ACLs, NAT policies, 802.1x and VPNVLAN configurations are correctly implemented and aligned with security standards. * Documentation: keep network diagrams, device inventories, and configuration backups up to date. * Monitoring & reporting: generate regular performance and capacity reports (bandwidth utilisation, latency, error rates) and flag trends for proactive scaling. * Support & ticketing: log work in the ITSM system, communicate status to requestors, and close tickets with clear resolution notes.
Requirements
- CCNA or CCNP Cisco certification. * Strong problem-solving attitude. * Good written/oral communication (Dutch & English). * Ability and willingness to work collaboratively. * Exposure to / knowledge of Firewall and IP telephony technologies would be an advantage. * Experience in a manufacturing / construction environment would be an advantage * In Possession of valid driving licence B and VCA/VOL.
