Job description
We have an exciting opportunity in our Platform Engineering team for a Platform Network Engineer to join us.
You'll focus primarily on creating, designing and delivering networking solutions across our hybrid cloud environment.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing consultancy to development teams across on-premise and cloud environments on technical security and compliance, network architectural mentorship and proof of concepts using Azure PaaS and other services
- Leading and validating the design and development of secure standards to support application and infrastructure components, both internal and external facing, with a strong focus on auditable compliance
- Ensuring solutions are developed in line with strategic target architecture from an application design and infrastructure/platform perspective
- Partnering with solution architects and global product management to define standardised solution and services baselines to meet strict security targets and converging platform principles
- Demonstrate innovations through prototyping and proof of concept work
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the Enterprise Information Architect, Solution and Enterprise Architects as well as delivery teams
Requirements
Do you have experience in SaaS?, * Strong experience of implementing networking solutions in an infrastructure as code driven automated environment
- Passion for developing best practices and good understanding of Azure best practice design principles
- Expertise with hybrid network models and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience of coding for infrastructure across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in the Azure space
- Ability to mentor juniors and peers
- Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Certified AZ-700 Azure Network Engineer Associate
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
