Job description

We're looking for a solid full-stack developer to join a small team working on a live SaaS platform used by real businesses.

This isn't a greenfield rewrite or a big corporate setup. The platform already exists, customers are using it daily, and there's plenty to improve, extend, and tidy up. You'll be working across the stack and will have a lot of say in how things are built.

Remote-first role, but you must be based in the UK mainland.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and maintaining front-end features using JavaScript
  • Working with Angular and/or Vue (you don't need to be an expert in both)
  • Styling UI using Bootstrap or Tailwind
  • Developing backend services and APIs
  • Working with MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch
  • Deploying and running the platform on AWS
  • Working with Docker (Kubernetes experience is a bonus, not a requirement)
  • Improving performance, reliability, and general maintainability
  • Helping make sensible technical decisions rather than blindly following trends

You won't be pigeonholed. If you like understanding how the whole system fits together, you'll enjoy this role.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vue.js?, You don't need to know everything listed, but you should be comfortable picking things up and working things out.

Essential:

  • Good JavaScript fundamentals
  • Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (Angular or Vue)
  • Solid SQL knowledge (MySQL)
  • Comfortable working on Linux
  • Experience working on production systems
  • Able to work independently and take ownership
  • Based in the mainland UK with the right to work

Nice to have:

  • Redis or Elasticsearch
  • AWS experience
  • Docker / container-based workflows
  • SaaS or B2B product experience

How we work

  • Fully remote
  • Small team, direct communication
  • No micromanagement
  • Minimal process, maximum focus on getting things done
  • We care more about good judgement than chasing the latest framework

You'll be trusted to manage your own time and deliver work that makes sense. In return, you'll have autonomy and a genuine influence on the product.

Benefits & conditions

  • £40,000-£60,000 depending on experience
  • Fully remote (UK)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Long-term role with room to grow as the product grows
