Job description
We're seeking an engineering leader to drive operational excellence in our data center environments. You'll be at the forefront of maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers through strategic management and technical expertise. Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage and lead shift technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality operational standards
- Oversee multiple data center availability zones, implementing strategic infrastructure management
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that enhance facility efficiency and performance
- Operate and manage critical systems including power distribution, generators, cooling infrastructure, and monitoring systems
- Support facility expansion and infrastructure development projects

You'll navigate dynamic environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain our data center operations. About the team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Requirements
- Experience in people management and team development
- Experience in engineering work, managing large-scale services
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
- Experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation
