Job description
- Design and document comprehensive test suites using Xray for Jira, ensuring full requirements coverage
- Validate REST API contracts via Swagger specifications and automate regression suites with Postman
- Test Kafka-based integrations by monitoring message flows, validating payloads, and troubleshooting pipeline issues
- Execute cross-browser testing using DevTools for debugging, performance analysis, and responsive design validation
- Build and maintain Playwright automation frameworks for critical user journeys and regression testing
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives) and drive quality within CI/CD pipelines
- Create epoxy test environments using containerization tools to isolate dependencies
- Mentor junior QA engineers on test strategy, automation best practices, and defect analysis
- Champion quality culture by integrating testing early in development cycles and advocating for shift-left practices
Requirements
- 3/5+ years of hands-on QA experience in complex enterprise environments
- Expertise in test documentation with Xray (Jira-based test management)
- Proficiency in Postgres database queries for test data validation
- 3+ years of API testing using Swagger contracts and tools like Postman
- 2+ years of Kafka integration testing (message validation, topic monitoring)
- Browser debugging skills using Chrome/Safari DevTools
- 3+ years of E2E test automation with Playwright or Selenium-based frameworks
- Git proficiency and experience with GitHub Flow workflows
- Agile/Scrum mastery with Jira for backlog management
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Merge Requests, code reviews, continuous deployment)
- Once per month in the office in Valencia.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB or equivalent certification
- Experience with Oracle/MongoDB databases
- Mobile test automation using Maestro
- Performance testing with k6
- Local microservice environment setup (SpringBoot + dependencies)
- Ephemeral dependency management (Okteto, TestContainers)
