Fullstack Engineer

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a European deep-tech company developing a decentralized, energy-efficient alternative to traditional cloud providers . Their platform operates on distributed bare-metal infrastructure with advanced automation, delivering sovereign, high-performance compute for modern workloads.

Professional Background: Were looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Staff / Principal level) with strong expertise in React and , and a proven track record of leading or executing migrations from monolithic architectures to modern Single Page Applications (SPA) .

This role goes beyond hands-on delivery: technical leadership, architectural ownership, and mentorship are key. Startup or hyper-growth experience is a strong plus. Autonomy, ownership, and the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions are essential.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable fullstack applications using React (SPA) and
• Own and drive monolith-to-SPA migration strategies, including incremental decomposition, API design, and frontend re-architecture.
• Define and enforce frontend and backend architecture, patterns, and best practices.
• Act as technical lead for the fullstack domain: reviewing designs, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and platform teams to align application architecture with infrastructure constraints.
• Design and maintain backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Improve application observability, performance, and resilience.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and growing senior engineering talent.
• Drive technical decision-making with a long-term platform mindset.

What You Bring:

• Senior-level experience (Staff / Principal) as a Fullstack Engineer.
• Strong expertise in React and modern frontend ecosystems (SPA architecture, state management, performance optimization).
• Strong experience with backend development and API design.

• Proven hands-on experience migrating monolithic applications to SPA or modular architectures.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and trade-offs.
• Experience working in fast-moving, product-driven environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.

Nice To Have:

o Previous experience as Tech lead or project management role. o Experience with microservices or modular backend architectures. o Familiarity with cloud-native environments and modern CI/CD pipelines. o Experience collaborating closely with DevOps or infrastructure teams. o Prior experience in deep-tech, cloud, or infrastructure-heavy products.
