Job description

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Architect, reporting directly to Head of Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering to join our Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering team based in Nanterre, Paris. However, this position can be also based in Lyon or Barcelona., Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in information security architecture, providing cybersecurity services across Technip Energie globally, including enterprise IT, OT, suppliers, partners, and clients. The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for embedding security into design and architecture reviews, and for leading cybersecurity risk assessments for new and existing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply information security principles during solution architecture: ensure stakeholder alignment, develop, track, and maintain program KPI, resolve issues directly or indirectly or escalate as appropriate.

  • Act as the primary authority on information security architecture, ensuring security is integrated into all solution designs and architecture reviews.

  • Lead and participate in cybersecurity risk assessments, identifying, evaluating, and addressing risks in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure appropriate security capability, planning, and support for new initiatives, enabling business objectives while maintaining a robust security posture.

  • Advise and enable risk-informed decisions using clear, purposeful, and factual communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate effectively across global teams, business units, and with clients, delivering hands-on technical expertise and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • Promote information security awareness through guidance, presentations, standards, and policy development.

  • Continuously assess and enhance the portfolio of information security capabilities, identifying and addressing current and future gaps to balance capability, cost, and complexity.

  • Foster collaboration and information sharing between cybersecurity teams and provide global incident response support as needed.

  • Seek and identify opportunities to better leverage what works and improve what does not.

Requirements

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant technology experience in cybersecurity or IT architecture
  • Experience with cybersecurity and/or enterprise architecture methodologies;
  • Experience either with working within a global large -scale company or a SaaS provider
  • Fluent English
  • In-depth knowledge of information security standards and certifications, including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SOC2 Type 2, and IEC 62443.
  • Strong understanding of security domains: audit, continuous monitoring, incident response & recovery, cryptography, secure data communication, malicious code, application security, secure operations, network security, security architecture & models, network segmentation, security management practices, investigation & ethics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools would be a plus (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, Archimate, UML).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong technical writing and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and participate as a team player.
  • Self-organization and follow-up skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and a relentless pursuit of new knowledge.
