You could be progressing your career in a high-impact, foundational SRE role, joining a successful and profitable Australian start-up as their first dedicated UK SRE hire. You will be the technical and operational lead for critical systems, setting the standard for a team that will be built around you. You'll receive full support and handover from existing UK-based team members to ensure a smooth start. This role is ideal for an independent, ambitious engineer who is hungry to step into a leadership position within the next few years.
As the Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be expected to drive significant, end-to-end improvements across the entire infrastructure lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Improving Deployment Speed: Taking the lead on optimising and accelerating software delivery processes.
*Pipeline Implementation: Designing and implementing robust deployment pipelines and comprehensive test suites.
*Performance & Monitoring: Designing and building a state-of-the-art performance measurement and monitoring system.
*Operational Excellence: Improving end-to-end operational practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
Do you have a software engineering background with a passion for infrastructure, and are you ready to take the lead in building a world-class Site Reliability Engineering function from the ground up?, *You are a Software Engineer at heart with a deep-seated passion for infrastructure and systems.
*You have significant commercial experience with AWS
*You are comfortable and proficient with JavaScript (JS) and Python for scripting, automation, and tooling.
*You thrive working independently and are eager to take ownership of complex, high-value projects.
*You have the ambition and drive to lead a team when the opportunity arises.
*You must have full working rights in the UK.
