PHP Backend Developer

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years Commercial PHP experience

• Ability to work with legacy code

• Some experience with Laravel/Lumen (or other Framework)

• Comfortable with Object Oriented design

• Web services / RESTful Api

• Integrating with 3rd Party Software

• Importance of security

• MySQL

• Debugging skills

• Experience with version control (GIT)

• Ability to discuss technical solutions with team members / stakeholders and provide innovative new ideas to solutions

• Familiarity with Copilot or other AI tools to increase efficiency

Desirable Requirements:

• Front end coding - HTML, CSS (SCSS, Styled Components), JavaScript

• JavaScript Frameworks (React)

• Working with AWS

• Experience with Elasticsearch

• Optimising slow running MySQL queries

• Good understanding of user experience best practice

• Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate

The successful candidate will have a gained a relative computing degree and be able to demonstrate an up-to-date portfolio of work, side projects are advantageous. We are seeking someone who is passionate and love what they do, and looks to continually improve their skills, whilst mentoring others to do the same.
