A day in the life of our Front End Developer will involve:
- Designing, building, and maintaining sustainable, high-performing web pages and applications that deliver exceptional, optimised user experiences across multiple platforms.
- Utilising APIs, SEO structures, analytics, and behaviour tracking tools to influence, analyse, and optimise website design, traffic, and user engagement.
- Leading, developing and testing of user interfaces (for example, with StorybookJS), collaborating closely with UX/UI and other teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive application and process documentation, building a toolkit for current and future business use.
- Introduce new concepts and tools, drive best practice adoption, and ensure technology strategies support ongoing capability and sustainability.
- Oversee performance analysis, unit testing, and front-end monitoring, working with stakeholders to identify issues, prioritise solutions, and escalate as needed.
- Communicate transparently with stakeholders throughout the design, build, and feedback cycle, interpreting their needs and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Requirements

It's about creating seamless, engaging, and visually compelling journeys that customers can trust and use with ease., * Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, major libraries (jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS), and adept at responsive/adaptive design, SEO structures, and a range of testing methods and tools (e.g. Vitest, Playwright).
- Expertise in coding standards, Git workflows, browser troubleshooting, OO design, JavaScript libraries (including React, TypeScript), CSS pre-processors, and backend tools (NodeJS, Web APIs, .Net).
- To be skilled in DevOps practices, managing build and release pipelines, Azure products, design/content tools (Figma), and database query languages (SQL, MQL).
- Knowledge of end-to-end web development, accessibility, front-end frameworks, component-based applications, agile workflows, design systems, and application testing.
- To maintain strong awareness of cross-browser/platform differences, financial services legal and regulatory frameworks, risk management, and specific regulatory responsibilities such as consumer duty and data protection.
- To uphold professional standards, company values, and compliance with policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring all development aligns with business and regulatory expectations.
- Proficient with analytical tools, advanced problem solving, and delivering practical, high-quality, long-lasting solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
- To demonstrate high self-awareness, resilience, strong planning, time management, and prioritisation skills, consistently meeting expectations.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
