ServiceNow Developer

Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Senior ServiceNow Developer who will act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform, driving the design, development, and strategic evolution of Ricoh's ServiceNow ecosystem across internal and customer-facing instances.

This role will play a pivotal role in defining technical standards, ensuring architectural integrity, mentoring developers, and guiding solution design decisions across multiple agile squads. The role demands deep platform expertise, technical leadership, and the ability to influence engineering direction.

What you will be doing

• Lead the technical design and architectural decisions across the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Act as a technical authority for ServiceNow development within the European region, advising teams on complex solution design and integrations.
• Oversee code quality, peer reviews, and development standards, ensuring consistent engineering excellence across squads.
• Drive adoption and optimisation of NowAssist, Agentic AI, and predictive intelligence, embedding AI-driven workflows into business processes.
• Partner with enterprise architects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to govern platform integrations and data flows.
• Mentor and upskill developers in advanced ServiceNow development patterns, including scoped applications, Flow Designer automation, and API integrations.
• Represent the ServiceNow engineering function in technical forums and governance boards, providing recommendations on platform strategy and innovation.

• Proven background and experience of ServiceNow development, including ownership of end-to-end design and delivery in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in architecting and delivering complex ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, CSM, FSM, and AI capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in platform governance, code management (Git), and DevOps practices for ServiceNow.
• Strong track record of mentoring developers and influencing platform direction.
• Deep technical understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data modelling, and integration frameworks.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; additional certifications (ITSM, ITOM, App Developer) are a plus.
• IDeally successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification. Plus have it would be highly advantageous to also have a Project Management and/or the ITIL v4 Practitioner certification.
• Any experience or training in AGILE methodologies would be a distinct plus.
