Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised IT Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of network systems, servers, and software applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background in system administration, computer networking, and cloud services to contribute to the optimisation of our IT environment. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving., * Oversee and maintain the organisation's network infrastructure, including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP configurations, and VPN connections.

  • Manage and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Administer system virtualisation using VMware and other relevant platforms; implement and manage virtualisation solutions such as Azure and other cloud services like AWS.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance through analysis skills; perform regular system updates, backups, and security patches.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures to safeguard organisational data.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), or Python to streamline routine tasks.
  • Provide technical support to staff; troubleshoot hardware/software issues; ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Maintain documentation related to network architecture, system configurations, and operational procedures using SharePoint or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan IT projects; assist in the deployment of new hardware/software solutions.
  • Conduct organisational training sessions on new systems or updates; promote best practices in IT security.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in system administration with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory management.

  • Strong knowledge of computer networking protocols including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP; experience with TCP/UDP troubleshooting essential.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems as well as virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Azure.
  • Experience working with cloud services like AWS; knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and security protocols is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), or Python for automation purposes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in English; capable of translating complex technical information for non-specialist audiences.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and SharePoint is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse systems issues critically and implement effective solutions efficiently.
  • Previous administrative experience within an IT environment is preferred; certification in relevant fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) is advantageous.
