Job description
This role is part of Airbus Defence and Space, focusing on the development and integration of armament systems within the FCAS domain. Responsibilities
- Identify all lifecycle activities (concept development, operational deployment, operations, and retirement) necessary to develop a system/product and provide confidence consistent with regulation and program requirements.
- Perform trade-off analysis to select the best solutions meeting the requirements.
- Validate architecture.
- Lead performance analysis.
- Define and manage interface requirements.
- Conduct impact analysis for current and future armament integration in FCAS, sizing operational aircraft regarding systems and armament under Airbus Spain responsibility.
- Define checkpoints and reviews with maturity expectations aligned with program phases and gates.
- Define applicable requirements and implications at system, subsystem, and/or equipment level.
- Develop new low observability concepts for armament carriage in cooperation with suppliers and partners.
- Define Armament Control System/Stores Management System, Weapon Bay and Carriage Systems architecture and components in cooperation with suppliers and partners.
- Define engagement fire control and weapon guidance requirements for functional implementation in ground rigs and air platforms.
- Manage suppliers.
- Prepare and assess safety documentation.
- Develop system test benches.
- Define ground and flight test requirements for NGF demonstrator.
Requirements
- Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in Aircraft Systems Integration.
- Experience in armament carriage equipment integration is a plus.
- Advanced level in English.
- High adaptability to new topics, business areas, and networking environments.
