Job description
We are seeking a skilled UAV Avionics & Systems Integration Engineer to join an advanced aerospace engineering team working on cutting-edge autonomous flight systems. You'll be responsible for defining, integrating, and validating avionics and systems architectures that bring complex unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to life.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to conceptualise and design UAV systems including airframes, propulsion, avionics, sensors, and payloads.
- Develop detailed system-level architecture, wiring diagrams, and hardware specifications.
- Use CAD tools to create detailed designs and support structural, aerodynamic, and systems analysis.
- Prepare detailed assembly, integration, and testing procedures and documentation.
- Conduct system-level testing (functional, integration, environmental) to validate performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and support flight approval documentation.
- Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in UAV systems engineering with a focus on hardware architecture, avionics, integration, and testing.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (experience with Siemens NX or similar is a plus).
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, avionics, propulsion, electrical systems, and signal/power distribution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills may be beneficial.
