Job description
- Lead and develop the DevOps team; manage goals and performance reviews.
- Own CI/CD strategy; standardize pipelines, implement security gates, and improve DORA metrics.
- Define platform standards (Terraform, Helm, Git); build shared tooling and golden paths.
- Set SLIs/SLOs for internal platforms and CI/CD systems, lead incident response, postmortems, and preventive improvements for infrastructure and internal environments.
- Plan environments and capacity; manage upgrades and promotions.
- Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and tracing; deliver actionable alerts.
- Own security posture: secrets management, IAM, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and policy-as-code.
- Validate disaster recovery: backups, restores, and recovery tests.
- Optimize cloud cost and performance; implement autoscaling and lifecycle policies.
- Drive automation for build, integration, testing, and deployments.
- Ensure DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines comply with GxP, validation, and documentation standards
- Maintain traceability across code, configurations, environments, and release artifacts in alignment with configuration management and change control requirements.
- Own the product release pipeline, including packaging, validation, documentation, release note generation, and handoff to TechOps for customer installation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8-10+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering with strong hands-on programming skills (including 3-5 years of experience managing a team).
- Expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Git, and Linux is a must.
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and security best practices is a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
