Job description

We're the team that looks after the customer data for the whole of Lloyds Banking Group. Our mission is to make this data available for the right purpose with the appropriate confidentiality and always ensuring a phenomenal engineering experience based on performance, resilience, and integrity.

Requirements

We're looking for technically minded Java engineers who've delivered projects end-to-end, value well-tested software, and thrive on production feedback. You should be curious, able to design and communicate robust solutions, and work in short XP-style iterations. You'll join an established team, learn quickly, and grow into a strong contributor who can mentor peers and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

What you'll need

We understand that no one can be an expert in every aspect of Software Engineering. So, if you have a strong technical background, we'd like to hear from you.

Specifically, we're looking for:

  • A hands-on Software Engineering background with experience in building applications in Java, using a broad set of tools, techniques, and platforms, with a focus on proving it works and does the right thing.

  • Experience working with Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices

  • Good understanding of clean software design and object-oriented principles

  • Comfortable working with a test-driven development approach

  • Experience working with container environments in particular Docker, Kubernetes and Helm (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS)

  • Experience in DevOps tooling and CI/CD automation, for example Jenkins, GitOps, and related frameworks.

Benefits & conditions
