Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated NOC Engineer to join our dynamic Network Operations Centre (NOC) team. Based at our Belfast site, this role is part of a 24/7 shift pattern supporting critical IT and network infrastructure for a range of clients.

The NOC Engineer will act as the first point of escalation for technical issues, resolving incidents efficiently, coordinating with field engineers and third-party suppliers, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong operational background in IT/Networking who thrive in a fast-paced environment., * Serve as the first point of escalation for customer calls and network faults.

  • Log, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests using ITSM tools like Remedy.
  • Maintain accurate shift handovers and ticket updates.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Adtran devices, modems, routers, and other IT systems.
  • Manage circuit faults across ADSL, SDSL, Ethernet, NGA, MPF, SMPF networks.
  • Collaborate with field engineers, third-party suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor network health using SolarWinds and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Deliver clear communication to clients and internal teams throughout incident lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT Helpdesk or NOC/operations environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in IT and networking.
  • Experience in enterprise network support; CCNA or equivalent preferred.
  • Windows OS and server support experience beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and working to SLAs.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance or able to obtain.
