Job description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications, integrations, and system enhancements
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Work with databases, reporting tools, and data structures to support accurate decision-making
  • Support and improve existing systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate closely with IT colleagues, stakeholders, and end users across the College
  • Troubleshoot issues, provide technical advice, and implement long-term fixes
  • Contribute to system documentation, coding standards, and best practice
  • Support digital transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Strong knowledge of programming, scripting, or development frameworks
  • Experience working with databases, data analysis, or reporting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and interpret technical and business requirements
  • Strong communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in an education, public sector, or multi-site organisation (desirable, not essential)
