Job description

A specialist engineering company in Manchester, renowned for delivering precise and cost-effective systems to the aerospace, automotive, defence, and motorsport sectors, is seeking a talented Software and Controls Engineer., * Collaborate with the engineering team to support existing projects and drive the development of new, cutting-edge solutions.

  • Apply your software and electronic skills to build systems for major corporations across the UK and USA.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers for mentorship and career progression.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Experience with modern high-level programming languages (e.g., Delphi).
  • Knowledge of modern PLC hardware/software packages (e.g., Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens).
  • Familiarity with servo motor and motion control is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documents (e.g., I/O schedules).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated potential to grow into a management position.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the engineering lifecycle and business processes.
  • Preferred Experience: Development experience in Robotics, Motion Control Projects, Data Acquisition, Safety Systems, or Networking protocols

The Salary on offer is up to £60,000 with a 20% Bonus, alongside a generous package.
