Job description
TriMech Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our growing technical team. In this role, you will support, train, and install a range of 3D Scanning, Additive Manufacturing, and Desktop Manufacturing systems across the UK & Ireland. Working closely with our sales teams, you will deliver expert product demonstrations and provide technical insights that help clients understand the value and capabilities of our technologies.

Understand, troubleshoot, and present effective solutions to engineering and manufacturing challenges

Deliver high-quality training and technical support to both new and advanced users of our technologies

Assist with servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of equipment both on-site and off-site

Support existing customers to ensure successful deployment and optimisation of their systems

Deliver customer sample parts and service jobs promptly, ensuring accuracy, quality, and attention to detail

Work collaboratively as part of a small, high-performing technical team

Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally abroad as required (full UK driving licence required)

Represent TriMech professionally at client meetings, demonstrations, and industry events

Collaborate closely with sales and logistics teams to provide technical insight

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards

Work with the marketing team to support promotional activities, events, and case studies showcasing customer success
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Sales?, Degree (or equivalent experience) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar., Previous experience or strong familiarity with a range of Additive Manufacturing technologies & 3D Scanning is highly advantageous. Competency with CAD software and the ability to understand and interpret engineering data are essential. You should demonstrate a strong customer focus, excellent communication & presentation skills, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, product development, or technical support - particularly within fast-paced, technology-driven environments is beneficial. Exposure to Metrology, CNC machining, or digital manufacturing workflows will further strengthen your application.

Confident presenting to individuals or groups in pre-sales and post-sales settings

Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection moulding, or prototyping

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and technical specifications
