Job description

This is not a typical UI design role. You'll reimagine what enterprise finance software looks like when AI agents do most of the work - conversational interfaces, agent oversight dashboards, and trust-building UX patterns for a new category of product., * Conversational UI architecture - Design the proactive chat experience that surfaces urgent financial events, proposes actions, handles multi-turn queries, and learns user preferences through lightweight interaction patterns (multi-select, inline corrections, contextual prompts).

  • Agent transparency & trust - Design how users see agent reasoning, decision traces, source documents, and confidence levels. Make autonomous decisions auditable and understandable at a glance.
  • Approval flow design - The human-in-the-loop interface where agent actions are reviewed before execution. Balance speed with control - make approvals fast for routine actions, detailed for high-stakes decisions.
  • Cash forecast visualization - Probabilistic forecasts with uncertainty bands, drill-down into underlying invoices and assumptions, and interactive what-if exploration. Make complex financial data intuitive for CFOs and finance teams.
  • Counterparty portal - A lightweight, zero-friction portal where suppliers and customers see invoice status, disputes, and payment promises via secure magic links. This is the viral loop - design for conversion.
  • Process learning UX - Design how agents propose new processes they've discovered, how users teach the system through lightweight feedback, and how learned behaviors are surfaced and managed over time.
  • Information architecture - Define how users navigate between the conversational interface, structured views (invoice lists, counterparty profiles, payment schedules), and analytical views (forecasts, anomalies, trends).
  • Design system - Build the foundational design system for Causa Prima - components, patterns, interaction primitives, and visual language that scales across the product.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, * 5+ years in product design roles, with significant experience in complex B2B or enterprise applications.

  • Deep experience designing data-rich interfaces - dashboards, financial tools, analytics, or operational software where information density and clarity are critical.
  • Strong systems thinking - you design in flows, states, and edge cases, not just screens. You think about what happens when data is missing, when agents are uncertain, when users disagree.
  • Experience with conversational or AI-driven interfaces - chatbots, copilots, agent UIs, or similar. You understand the unique design challenges of non-deterministic systems.
  • Prototyping skills that let you move fast - Figma, Framer, or code-based prototyping. You can go from napkin sketch to clickable prototype in hours, not weeks.
  • Strong visual design craft. Enterprise doesn't mean ugly. You care about typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy as much as you care about interaction patterns.
  • Comfort working without a playbook. We're inventing new interaction paradigms - you need to be excited by ambiguity, not paralyzed by it.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held. You advocate fiercely for users but change your mind when evidence says otherwise.
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or enterprise finance tools (AP/AR, treasury, ERP).
  • Understanding of AI/ML capabilities and limitations - you know what LLMs can and can't do, and design accordingly.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS products with role-based access and approval workflows.
  • Front-end development skills (React/TypeScript) - you can build what you design when speed matters.
  • Experience with design for trust and compliance - audit trails, decision transparency, regulatory requirements.
