Job description

We're looking for a Python Developer to join a development team and help build out a fast-growing SaaS product. This role is about ownership, solving real problems and working across backend, automation and cloud tooling. You'll work closely with a Senior Engineer and two Data Scientists, contributing directly to product direction and future technical decisions.*Tues, Weds, Thurs in Central Bristol office.What experience you'll need to apply

Requirements

  • Python.
  • Excellent backend development skills, including APIs, automation and CLI tools.
  • Experience with FastAPI (or Django/Flask).
  • Strong Linux experience and background using it for development, testing and deployment.
  • SQL and NoSQL experience, ideally including SQLite and DynamoDB.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Good working knowledge of AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, Cognito, networking).
  • Strong communication skills.

What you'll be doingAs a Python Developer, you'll design, build and test backend applications, APIs and internal tools. You'll work with Python, FastAPI, automation and data processing, delivering clean, reliable and secure software. You'll support Linux-based development and deployment projects, help maintain SQL and NoSQL databases and get involved in containerisation and DevOps too. You'll also get involved in scraping, cleaning and processing data at scale. In this role, you'll work end-to-end from converting requirements into designs, building features, improving infrastructure and collaborating with a small, friendly team that values communication and problem solving.What you'll get in return for your experienceA salary of up to £50,000 per annum, plus stock options, 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), an annual training allowance and an annual tech budget.
