Job description
This is an opportunity to join a widely respected organisation at the centre of the UK insurance and long-term savings landscape. You will play a key role in shaping insight used by industry leaders, policymakers and internal teams, with the autonomy to deliver meaningful analysis and influence major conversations across the sector. The Company They are a prominent membership organisation representing a large share of the insurance and long-term savings market. Their work spans policy, media, analytics and industry engagement, and they are known for their collaborative culture, strong values and forward-looking approach. With a supportive executive team and a highly engaged analytics function, they offer a genuinely positive environment where you can develop and refine your technical and stakeholder skills. The Role You will contribute to core analytics activity and wider policy work, partnering with senior internal stakeholders and external members. Responsibilities include:
- Leading data collection from member organisations and third-party sources, including survey data, market data and external regulatory datasets. * Analysing and interpreting complex datasets to generate clear, compelling insight used across policy, media and strategic decision-making. * Building accessible dashboards and visual outputs, particularly in Power BI. * Supporting market forecasting and identifying new trends, developments or subscriber opportunities. * Responding to ad hoc analytical requests and contributing insight for media responses or internal briefings. * Working closely with policy teams, data contacts and external partners to ensure high-quality data collection and smooth stakeholder engagement. * Providing guidance to junior team members where needed and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the analytics function. Your Skills and Experience * Strong commercial experience using SQL, Excel and a data visualisation tool, with a preference for Power BI. * Proven ability to create insight using both internal and external data sources, including market research, survey data and publicly available datasets. * Confident stakeholder communicator with the ability to translate technical information clearly. * Experience working with third-party data providers or regulatory/market datasets. * Comfort working autonomously while collaborating across teams. * Experience with Python is beneficial but not essential. * Familiarity with insurance or financial services is advantageous but not required. What They Offer * Salary up to £60,000 plus discretionary bonus. * Hybrid working model averaging two days per week in the London office. * 25 days annual leave plus your birthday off. * Private medical cover, gym membership, eye care support and mental wellbeing initiatives. * Access to leadership, training and development programmes. * A collaborative, friendly team environment with opportunities to broaden your technical toolkit.
