Job description
We are looking for a capable Level 1 Learning Support Assistant to work as a 1-1 support teacher for a child with additional learning needs.

The role will be to support children both in the classroom and on an individual 1-1 basis to access the curriculum, further develop communication skills and to support with the implementation of targets from their individual development Plans.
Responsibilities
To contribute to the planning and implementation of appropriate programmes of activity for the children in collaboration with the class teacher.
To have a full understanding of the school systems of record keeping and keep records of the children's development, using our online learning journey called SeeSaw.
To assist with the Breakfast Club routines each morning
To assist in the provision of an attractive and stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays, indoors and out, relevant to the ages and needs of the children, which encourage independence, self-motivation and eagerness to learn
To assist in the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development
To be familiar with the National Minimum Standards and guidelines and recommendations of good practice and assist in their implementation
To share the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
The vacancy is for 28.5 hours per week over five days, Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 15:00 and 08:30 - 13:00 Friday.
