Job description

I'm currently supporting a public sector organisation as they look to build out a Power Platform capability, with a focus on Power Automate (RPA) and establishing a lightweight Centre of Excellence (CoE). This is a key role where you'll sit at the intersection of hands-on development and business engagement, helping shape how automation is delivered across the organisation. The role will involve:

  • Designing and building Power Automate (cloud + desktop RPA) solutions
  • Developing Power Apps to support operational workflows
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities
  • Defining best practice, governance and standards for Power Platform
  • Supporting the creation of a Power Platform CoE (process, tooling, controls)
  • Working across legacy systems and integrating with Microsoft 365

Requirements

  • Has strong experience across Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Has delivered RPA solutions at scale (ideally within regulated environments)
  • Can operate in a consultative / business-facing capacity
  • Has experience setting up or contributing to a Centre of Excellence
  • Understands governance, security and compliance considerations
  • Is comfortable being both hands-on and strategic

Nice to have:

  • Experience within public sector (policing, NHS, local government)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure / M365 ecosystem
  • Knowledge of AI Builder / Copilot capabilities

This is a great opportunity to shape how a public sector organisation leverages automation, with real impact on operational efficiency and service delivery.
