Job description
- Architect and enhance backend infrastructure: databases, APIs, and integrations
- Develop clean and efficient contracts between front-end and back-end teams
- Build and optimise integrations with external platforms to increase company's value
- Maintain and evolve search functionalities and infrastructure
- Collaborate directly with the founder to shape product development and technical strategy
- Monitor and improve cloud deployment, security, and system performance
- Guide and mentor junior developers to grow their skills
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Node.js with a focus on back-end development
- Deep knowledge of TypeScript and API design best practices
- Experienced in database architecture, especially PostgreSQL or similar
- Skilled in building third-party integrations, webhooks, and event-driven systems
- Comfortable owning live system architecture and designing scalable solutions
- Enthusiastic about cloud infrastructure, security, and performance with familiarity in AWS or similar platforms
- Adept at DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of real-time tech such as WebSockets
- Familiar with automated testing and search technologies like Elasticsearch or Typesense
