Job description

This role is seen as a development opportunity for the right person. With training and support provided, you will:

· Work towards being responsible for systems and user support for Cornwall Housing's key business applications, in the Assets, Housing Operations and Resources Directorates.

· Develop a technical understanding of systems to enable you to troubleshoot issues, understand root causes, diagnose faults, and prioritise requests for support and changes.

· Maintain systems and training documentation in line with changing business needs to ensure consistency of service and review and deliver data and report requests to customers.

Communication is key in this role as you will be supporting users and liaising with IT Vendors and Cornwall Council Information Services. There will also be opportunities to assist in IT projects and to provide support to the ongoing IT improvement programme.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical support?, Do you have a great 'can do' attitude? Do you like being kept busy and love change? Then come and work in the Business Systems team at Cornwall Housing., To be successful, you'll need the ability to follow defined processes/procedures in an accurate and consistent manner whilst monitoring data, identifying trends, problem solving and escalating where needed.

You'll likely have:

· A degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Experience in a service desk or technical support role.

· Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks.

But almost more importantly, you'll also be/have:

· Keen to learn with an interest in IT and systems support

· Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.
