As an Executive Director in the GLCM Solutions Architect Team, you will own the target-state functional architecture for Global Liquidity and Account Solutions (GLASS), ensuring alignment with firm strategy and regulatory expectations. You will set architectural direction, act as a senior design authority, and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver business-critical solutions. Your leadership will drive innovation, risk management, and continuous improvement, while fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture., * Define and own the target-state functional architecture for GLASS, ensuring strategic and regulatory alignment.
- Set architectural direction and guardrails across multiple programmes and value streams.
- Act as senior design authority, accountable for architectural integrity, risk posture, and strategic alignment.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Business leadership to translate strategy into architectural outcomes and prioritize investments.
- Evaluate and challenge product strategy and requirements, ensuring alignment to target architecture.
- Drive enterprise-level innovation, recommending and sponsoring technology advances.
- Own architectural risk management, identifying systemic risks and driving mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Security, Data Privacy, IT&S, and Architecture Standards.
- Produce and sponsor executive-level architecture artefacts, including blueprints and roadmaps.
- Lead and mentor the Architecture & Design community, raising architectural maturity.
- Drive continuous improvement of Solution Architecture processes, embedding AI-enabled capabilities and set clear standards and measurable goals, embedding accountability through regular assessments.
Requirements
- Experience as an enterprise or executive design authority, owning architectural outcomes across programmes and domains.
- Deep experience with global, cross-functional teams spanning infrastructure, engineering, data, operations, product, and business leadership.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, influencing senior executives and translating complex concepts.
- Strong architectural judgement with a track record of proposing strategically aligned alternatives.
- Strategic mindset with experience defining multi-year technology and architecture strategies.
- Experience engaging with vendors and strategic partners, providing architectural oversight.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data integration patterns, including ETL, event-driven architectures, APIs, and publish-subscribe models.
- Broad familiarity with modern technology stacks, including relational and non-relational databases, Java-based platforms, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading and developing senior architecture teams, including coaching and performance management.
