Job description
I am seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the development, optimisation and governance of modern data and analytics solutions within a growing UK analytics consultancy. Sitting within an expanding analytics practice, this role is central to delivering trusted, scalable and high-quality insight products that enable organisations to make faster, data-driven decisions. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience with Power BI as well as a strong background in data modelling. You will be comfortable building advanced reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into effective analytics solutions. You will also play a key role in supporting users, applying best practice and contributing to the consultancy's broader analytics framework. Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimise Power BI semantic models
- Develop high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards, including advanced DAX measures and calculations
- Apply best practices across data modelling, performance optimisation and governance
- Support analytics users and troubleshoot issues across deployed insight products
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in analytics standards, processes and methodologies
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on experience with Power BI (data ingestion, modelling, DAX)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, star schema design and semantic layer principles
- Proven ability to create scalable, efficient analytical models and performance reports
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate user requirements into actionable designs
